Assessment The focus of this achievement standard is to build a website using original content with advanced tools. The learning will look like this: Week 1 - Relevant Implications Week 2 - Iterative Development Week 3 - HTML Basics Week 4 - CSS Basics Week 5 - Menu's Layouts Week 6 - Photoshop Skills Week 7 - Recap and Rebuild Week 8-9 Assessment Week Week 10 Re submission and intro to external We will be going over some of the basics again. |
Why? and who cares?
Website development is in demand worldwide and you can easily start a business out of school developing websites locally. Although most people use Word press a fundamental understanding of CSS/HTML will aid you in any IT featured career as it is used for a large number of interfaces.

What is different from level 1?
Level 1 (AS91073) had a focus on creating an animation
We focused on using some HTML tags and building a few pages. We also used inline CSS to help format our web pages. In Photoshop we focused on a few minor tools such as cropping and clipping and placing. Level 2 still will require you to use these skills as needed, however there will be a requirement to move to advanced tools. |
What to look for when learning about CSS and HTML
In order to pass this assessment you have to show that you can successfully create a website using conventions.

- Using External CSS Sheets
- Using correct Headings (navigation, header, footer)
- stylizing html elements using css( font face, font color, drop shadows, rounded corners, page layouts and validation)
